The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster, unveiled for the summer

The British brand Aston Martin unveiled the lines of its new car, the V12 Vantage S Roadster. Presenting a contemporary design but nonetheless expected, the prototype shines mostly through technical capacities.


Aston Martin launches an ultimate edition of the Vantage

In 2005, the British car manufacturer launched a new sports car: the Vantage. After having made different a number of versions, Aston Martin offers today a new edition of its prototype which might mark the end of this line.

The V12 Vantage S Roadster is announced as the quickest and most competitive of its line, hence following the steps of the V12 Vantage introduced by the subsidiary Prodrive which was a great success amongst sports car enthusiasts.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s artistic director explained, “The V12 Vantage S Roadster is the mechanical embodiment of our company’s exceptional spirit. Beautiful, powerful and spirited it is as spectacular to listen to as it is to look at. The new roadster is truly a treat for the senses with […] the capacity to deliver one of the most dynamic, exciting and stirring driving experiences in our current range”.

The lines of the latest Aston Martin model, remain similar to its predecessor. However, the V12 Vantage distinguishes itself by its sporty black, a carbon fibre grille, and flared wheel arches.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster, a sporty and agile car

For its new model, the luxury automobile manufacturer intends to develop the car’s capacities to a maximum. Hence, the car has a 6 litre V12 engine for 565 bhp of power, 620 Nm of peak torque and a top speed of 201mph. This is the fastest convertible ever produced by Aston Martin.

Its top speed is 201 mph (323 km/h). Nervous, the car touches the 60 mph in only 3.9 seconds thanks to its powerful accelerations.

The future pilots of this piece of technology will been given the choice of three different driving modes: Track, Sport and Normal. These programmes can be modified according the driver’s experience.



The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster’s release date has not yet been announced. However, it should be around the end of the year.As for the car’s price, it should be close to 200 000 euros.
