Azzaro’s comeback on the catwalk after 30 years of absence

The fashion and perfume brand Azzaro made a magnificent come back after 30 years of absence o the runway. The brand presented its new haute-couture collection a few days ago, during an exclusive fashion show.


Azzaro returns

Just as Schiaparelli did in January after 60 years f absence, Azzaro presented its new collection this month, its first fashion show in 30 years.

Founded in 1960 by Loris Azzaro, young Italian designer, the brand features different accessories and a selection of fantasy jewels. A few years later, the artist expanded its activities and launched a ready-to-wear and haute-couture collection. Nevertheless, during the 1980s the creator decided to focus on his collections for men as well as on his perfumes, a growing sector.

The decision to revive its haute-couture collection was a turning point in the brand’s history, illustrating its desire to further develop its fashion business and become one of the influential brands of the sector.




Remodeling of maison Azzaro

In 2013, Azzaro welcomed Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejón, the brand’s new artististic directors. With their headquarters established in Spain, the two designers wish to work exclusively on the brand’s positioning in order to underline its high-end and exclusive character.

In the midst of a new growth, the introduction of the brand’s new collection during the Fashion Week was admired with considerable interest by fashion enthusiasts and Azzaro fashion lovers.
