Christian Louboutin opens new flagship in Tokyo
The famous red soled luxury shoe brand decided to launch its new flagship in Japan. A building will be entirely dedicated to the brand home to its latest collections and offices.
The Louboutin point of sale in Japan
The famous Christian Louboutin brand, one of the most acclaimed luxury shoe brands recently opened its new store in Japan.
Christian Louboutin has already 6 boutiques in Japan. Hence, this new point of sale is its 7th and a sign of a successful integration within the country. It is also the brand’s 82nd boutique across the world.
This boutique is the current Christian Louboutin flagship in Japan. Located in Aoyama, it occupies a whole two storey building. Whilst a part of the building is used to expos the brand’s collections, a space has been transformed into a showroom and another part is home to the brand’s Japanese headquarters.
A new boutique concept
The interior design was done by the New York agency 212box. The last store had been designed in a quirky style playing on colours, shadows, shapes and reflective surfaces. For this new store the same quirkiness has the ever present red carpet and alcoves. The walls are covered in a colourful patchwork of tin tiles, mirrors and travertine stone tiles. Floating display shelves are placed against grey walls near a pleated leather panelled wall.
The combination of textures, colours and objects from all over the world give the store a wildly imaginative and elegant atmosphere.
The store was created as would an art exhibit, leading visitors from one creation to another, each in a unique atmosphere.
