Contemporary and luxurious, the Columbus Sport Hybrid 40 chose to combine the sumptuous design of luxury yachts with an eco-friendly mechanism. The wager is a success as this exceptional boat allows its passengers to enjoy an excursion at sea whilst preserving the natural setting surrounding them.
An eco-friendly yacht
40 metres long, the Colombus Sport Hybrid 40 was built in the Palumbo Shipyard in Naples. This sumptuous vessel has the characteristic of being equipped with two different engines.
The yacht relies on two MTU main engines of 1 920 hp and two Siemens electric engines of 60 kW each, allowing it to reduce its fuel consumption, its CO2 emissions and noise level.
When both types of engines are on, the luxury superyacht has a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. However, when the yacht relies exclusively on its electric engines, its speed will vary between 6 and 8 knots.
Comfort in the Columbus Sport Hybrid 40
Sober and pure, the Columbus’ design is in line with the current interior design trends, answering to the demands of sea cruise enthusiasts. The living rooms and 5 bedrooms of the yacht are in shades of beige and cream, creating a cosy and warm atmosphere.
Thanks to the large windows, each space benefits from the natural light during daytime. Passengers aboard the yacht will also have the possibility of enjoying the various sundecks, the Jacuzzi, the three bars and last but not least its garage.
The Columbus Sport Hybrid 40 can accommodate a maximum of 10 passengers for eco-friendly cruise.
