The car manufacturer Bentley recently introduced its new version of the Bentley Continental GT. This third prototype is intended to be slimmer, bolstered by power not yet achieved by the British manufacturer.
Bentley Continental GT3-R, an exclusive model
Most of Bentley’s creations intend to be new and innovative. However, the brand’s latest model, the Bentley Continental GT3-R, is a particularly exclusive model. The manufacturer will only produce 300 editions of this prototype, which will be available at a much higher price than its predecessors.
The Bentley Continental GT3-R was inspired by the racing circuits and one f the brand’s iconic sports models, the Continental GT3. Hence, this last creation by Bentley has a more refined yet aggressive design. The front splitter gives the car an assertive look. Two-tone green graphics that trace the two power lines to the side profile of the car highlight the performance pedigree of this agile road model.
Within a two seats are crafted from the finest black Beluga leather. The seat is adorned with Alcantara, as well as the steering wheel and the door casings. The back seats have been left out to make the model lighter. The Bentley Continental GT3-R’s interior was made in carbon fibre.
The Bentley Continental GT3-R, faster than ever
To increase the car’s capacities, the British manufacturer focused his attention on the turbo-compressors and the model’s engine. The Bentley Continental GT3-R is equipped with a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine. Thanks to this novelty, the car touches the 572 bhp (426 kW).
With its 700 Nm of torque, the new Bentley goes from 0 to 100km/h in only 3.8 seconds. To obtain this result the manufacturer had to reduce the models total weight of 100kg. From 10.5 litres to 12.7 litres for 100km/h, the car rejects 295 g of CO2 per kilometre.
