Built in 2011, the catamaran Hemisphere was quickly considered as one of the biggest catamarans. Still today, this exceptional vessel amazes by its impressive dimensions and its luxurious and comfortable design.
Hemisphere, an amazing catamaran
Launched in 2011, the catamaran Hemisphere is a creation of Pendennis Shipyard, based in London. To design this impressive catamaran, the company required the help of the naval architect Van Peteghem Lauriot Prévost (VPLP).
The partnership between these two big names of the naval world fathered a unique catamaran, of over sized dimensions. 44.2 metres long, the boat is 16.6 metres large. On the other hand the catamaran’s mast stands at an impressive 53 metres above the sea.
Far from being difficult to control, Hemisphere can navigate the seas with its large sail accompanied by a pair of engines of 90 bhp. These engines are indispensable to the catamaran’s captain when doing delicate manoeuvres, such as the arrival in a harbour.
A luxury catamaran
The boat’s interior was imagined by interior designer Michael Leach Design, according to the theme “Polynesian Six star Luxury”. Thanks to its five rooms, each with a different atmosphere and all equipped with their en-suite bathrooms, the catamaran can welcome 10 to 12 guests.
Hemisphere also possesses two suites with a sliding wall allowing their occupants to transform the two rooms into one.
The boat was imagine by respecting the current trends, such as calling up precious materials. In total, the boat contains 15 different sorts of stones, 18 kinds of leather and various woods, all chosen by the architect to bring life to the catamaran’s interior.
Passengers aboard the Hemisphere will have premium comfort, allowing them to enjoy the cruise whilst sunbathing on the deck or relaxing in the Jacuzzi.
