Kairos, Korean start-up, introduced an innovative product on the luxury horology market. The brand imagined a timepiece whose design is in line with traditional watch models, but within which lies, well hidden, the potential of a smartwatch.
Kairos watch, tradition and cutting edge technology
Kairos has done what none have attempted yet, to combine the elegance and precision of traditional watches with the hyper-connectivity of the latest smartwatches on the market.
This model imagined by Kairos Watch, is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement allowing its wearer to read the time the traditional manner – with the two hands. The buyer can choose between a japanse movement, the Miyota 82S7, and a Swiss movement, the Soprod A10BV-2.
Its dial and the traditional mechanism can be seen through the OLED screen as evidence of the watch’s precision and the savoir-faire behind its creation. The 46 mm diametre case is water resistant and surrounded by genuine leather straps.
The first high-end mechanical-smartwatch hybrid
This luxury timepiece is compatible with both iOS and Android systems. It is connected by Bluetooth 4.0, supported by touch sensor. The smartwatch battery life per charge is 5 to 7 days.
The notification interface shows at either 40% or 60% transparency, to the buyer’s choice. This luxury smartwatch allows one to be notified of text messages, e-mails and incoming calls as well as Facebook and Twitter.
The watch may also serve as a remote control for smartphones or tablets. It also acts as a pedometer and has chronograph capabilities…and much more. The variety of functions in this hybrid are all more useful than the next, making this high-tech and elegant timepiece an indispensable accessory.
There are two models available: the MSW 115 and the SSW 158. The first is available in black, silver and gold starting December 2014, whilst the latter is a limited edition in steel and gold, to be released in March 2015.
