Louis Vuitton enters the world of fine jewellery by opening its first boutique in Place Vendome, Paris.
A new address for Louis Vuitton
What better way to make a grand entrance than by making itself a place at number 23 on the mythical ‘Place aux Diamants’ or Diamond square symbole of Parisian luxury?
April 2013, the House opened its first Laboratory of Jewellery and in May, its first jewellery in Place Vendome. All diamonds and precious stones are cut and polished in the Laboratory on the first floor and sent down to the boutique on the ground floor once the jewel has been finalised.
The star: 30 carat solitaire
A raw diamond worth 9 million euros was cut into the brand’s monogram, is currently on display in this prestigious boutique. Three years were needed to create this piece which makes this solitaire exceptional and unique.
Other necklaces inspired by parisian lines including a particularly interesting piece representing the Champs Elysées are present in the boutique.
However Louis Vuitton also chose to offer in their boutique a collection of jewellery at more accessible prices. Accordingly, some fine jewellery pieces can be found for a mere 900 euros.
Aspiring to touch a wider clientele, Louis Vuitton offers both exclusive and exceptional pieces as well as more ordinary pieces. During a visit in Paris for a shopping spree, feel free to enter this boutique. You might find a real treasure.
