The American stylist Ralph Lauren presented beginning of June his 2015 cruise collection. The fashion designer introduced pieces of timeless elegance with nautical inspirations, slightly retro.
Cruise collection by Ralph Lauren
Similar to the great fashion names, such as Chanel or Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren recently introduced his cruise collection for 2015. Contrary to the competition, the creator privileged the chic and plush atmosphere of a large reception room as opposed to a flashy decor, as a reminder of his first haute-couture shows.
Hence, the decor was in perfect harmony with the clothes designed by Ralph Lauren, minimalist and refined. The models displayed 37 of the designer’s creations whilst on the catwalk, revisiting the essentials of a lady’s wardrobe.
The stylist chose to mix sophistication inspired by the 1960s with the freshness of the nautical theme. Minimalist and simple are the key words to describe this collection.

For his new collection, Ralph Lauren chose to reinvent a majority of his creations with monochrome materials. Dark blue,, black and white are at the centre of this new collection as well as bronze, giving a festive and glamorous look to the pieces displayed.
The simple prints, such as dots and stripes, contrast with grace and mischievousness against the monochromatic materials with which they are combined.
Large pants with flared cuts meet tight knee-length cashmere skirts. The American fashion designer also presented a selection of cocktail dresses, with long and fluid forms not unlike those Hubert de Givenchy created for his muse, Audrey Hepburn, in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Ralph Lauren’s cruise collection will soon be available in the brand’s different stores.
