Opened June 2nd, the Shangri-la Paris unveiled its latest terrace, the 8 Iéna. This new gourmet’s rendez-vous will offer savoury summertime recipes in a pastoral setting.
The Shangri-la’s new terrace
After launching its Swim & Brunch formula, the Shangri-la opened last month its new fine gastronomy address. The terrace located in the Hotel’s courtyard and will be accessible to both the hotel’s guests and clients merely passing through, thanks to an opening on the Avenue d’Iéna.
In bloom and shaded, the 8 Iéna terrace offers its clientele a quiet and tranquil moment far from indiscreet eyes with a large wrought iron gate. The restaurant is open every day from 12 pm to 10.30 pm to enjoy the warm summer nights.
The 8 Iéna menu
The Shangri-la’s new terrace’s menu was imagined by the chef Philippe Labbé and will include a large selection of simple and fresh recipes. Similar to the Hotel, the recipes are a successful marriage of Asian and French influences.
Clients will enjoy light and fresh foods, such as a salad with crab meat and grapefruit. Bigger but nonetheless mouth-watering, is the Asian burger, a duck and crab hamburger.
The desserts proposed by the 8 Iéna were imagined by chef François Perret. The menu features various flavours of homemade ice-creams and sorbets such as peaches poached with currant juice and fresh strawberries.
The new Shangri-la address will be open until mid-septembre at number 10, avenue d’Iéna in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
